This Foundation mini course introduces the key responsibilities of good angling. Learners will explore the Countryside Code, basic angling laws, rod licences, permission to fish, fishing etiquette, catch and release, and what it means to be an ethical angler. The course is designed for beginners and explains how to fish legally, respect other anglers and water users, care for fish, protect wildlife, and leave the water as good as they found it. By the end, learners will understand that good fishing is not only about catching fish, but about making safe, respectful and responsible choices every time they go fishing.
