Once you've caught a fish, we show you how to handle it out of the water and ensure it's safely returned. Over the session, you'll acquire the skills to confidently catch fish, setting you up for future family or friend outings.

Try Fishing as a Family
Enjoy a 2-hour family fishing adventure, ideal for bridging generations. Tailored for up to six, our sessions cater to all ages (min age 5), ensuring a memorable experience. Dive into fishing with guidance on equipment and techniques, perfect for your family's first catch. Group must include at least one child under 16. Once purchased you can select a date and time that fit your schedule.
Subsidised Try Fishing Events
Join our Get Fishing events, part of a national initiative by the Angling Trust, financed through the sale of National Rod Licence. These 90-minute sessions, available at a reduced price thanks to Get Fishing grants, welcome individuals aged 8+ to the exciting world of fishing. This years events are being run by Shallowbrook Lakes, supported by UK Fishing School.
Whether you're a newcomer or revisiting an old hobby, our sessions are designed to cater to all levels. Ideal for family outings, these events provide a perfect introduction or re-introduction to fishing, ensuring an enjoyable and affordable experience.
