Never fished before? This relaxed 2-hour experience is the easiest way to give it a try. Designed for complete beginners, we provide everything you need and guide you through your first fishing session step by step. You’ll learn how to use the equipment, bait your hook, recognise a bite, land a fish and handle your catch safely and confidently. There’s no need to buy tackle or understand rigs, bait or fishing licences before you arrive. We take care of the equipment, bait, venue entry and everything needed for the session, so you can simply turn up and enjoy fishing. Sessions are kept small, with a maximum of four anglers per instructor, giving everyone plenty of individual help and encouragement. Try Fishing is ideal for anyone who has wondered what fishing is like but hasn’t known where to start. It’s a simple, friendly introduction designed to help you catch your first fish, build confidence and decide whether fishing could be the hobby for you. What to Expect Try Fishing is a relaxed, beginner-friendly session designed to get you fishing quickly. Your instructor will welcome you, run through a short safety briefing and get you set up with everything you need. You’ll then spend most of the session fishing, with help available throughout. You’ll learn how to use the equipment, bait your hook, recognise bites, land fish and handle your catch safely before returning it to the water. All tackle, bait, venue entry and rod licence requirements are taken care of, so there’s no need to buy anything before you come. Sessions last 2 hours and are kept to a maximum of 4 anglers per instructor. The minimum age for group sessions is 8 years, and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
