Warm Welcome and Introduction: Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by our friendly instructors who will introduce themselves and give you an overview of the day’s activities.
Equipment Setup: We'll provide all the necessary fishing gear and guide you through setting it up, ensuring you're comfortable with the equipment.
Basic Instruction: Start with a brief tutorial covering essential fishing techniques, safety guidelines, and tips on how to make the most of your fishing experience.

How long is the lesson?
The lesson duration is 4 hours, we ask you to arrive a little early to get you booked in before the lesson starts.
Group Sizes and Ages
Our group sizes are capped at 4 people to ensure top-notch teaching and individual attention. This small size guarantees personalised guidance for each angler, enhancing your learning experience and skill development.
Minimum age for groups sessions is 10 years, all Under 16's must be accompanied by adult.
Children under 10 can be taught on a 1-2-1 or family session, please contact us for details.
What to bring
Please wear outdoor clothes and shoes appropriate to the weather conditions.
Food and Drink is available to purchase on site, but feel free to bring your own.
We provide all equipment, however if you have some of your own, please bring it along. The instructor will advise on its suitability for the Lesson.
Fishing Licence
In England and Wales, all persons age 13 and over need to hold a fishing licence.
Children between 13 and 16 is free of charge.
Licences for 17 and above start at £7.10 and can be purchased online

Our main teaching venue is Shallowbrook Lakes, Norwich, Norfolk, however we do work at other locations in the UK. Please contact is for more details.
Pre Course Requirements
Before booking, make sure you can:
Set up a float rod and reel with minimal help
Cast with reasonable control and accuracy
Land small to medium fish confidently
Fish independently for a short session
If you're not quite there yet, we recommend completing Lesson 2 first. That way you’ll arrive ready to focus on feeder fishing and catching bigger, better fish.
