Course Description

Take your carp fishing further with this practical 4-hour advanced course, designed for experienced anglers who want to refine their approach and better understand the decisions behind consistent carp fishing. Ideal for anglers who have completed our Intermediate Carp Fishing course, or those with good existing carp fishing experience, this session moves beyond the fundamentals and explores how to adapt your tactics to different waters, conditions and situations. You’ll develop your understanding of advanced rigs and presentations, strategic baiting and bait selection, and how to locate and accurately fish productive areas. We’ll look more closely at underwater features, carp behaviour and how the choices you make about location, presentation and feeding strategy work together. You’re encouraged to bring your own tackle so we can help you get more from the equipment you regularly use, although tackle, bait and venue entry are included. The aim is to develop a more thoughtful, adaptable approach – helping you understand not just what to change, but why and when to change it. What to Expect Our courses are practical, friendly and focused on learning by doing. Your instructor will help you set up, demonstrate the key skills and coach you as you put them into practice beside the water. All tackle, bait, venue entry and fishing permits are included, and group lessons are limited to 4 anglers so everyone receives individual support. Courses run for 4 hours. Please arrive a little before the advertised start time. Wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for the weather. You’re also welcome to bring your own fishing equipment if you have it. Group sessions are suitable from age 10, with under-16s accompanied by an adult. Anglers aged 13+ will need the appropriate Environment Agency fishing licence.
