Learn to Fish: Feeder Fishing
Ready to take your fishing skills further?
Course Description
This practical lesson is the next step after learning to fish with a rod, reel and float. Feeder fishing helps you cast further, present bait accurately, and attract fish into your swim using groundbait and swimfeeders. During the session, you’ll learn how to set up and use a feeder rod, understand how a quivertip works, and spot bites through the movement of the rod tip. This is a brilliant method for targeting bigger fish and fishing more effectively at distance. You’ll also learn how to mix groundbait correctly, how much to use, and how to introduce bait to encourage fish to feed confidently. We’ll show you how swimfeeders work, how to set up a simple feeder rig, and how to cast safely and accurately. Feeder fishing is a key method for any developing coarse angler and gives you another valuable technique to use on lakes, ponds, rivers and commercial fisheries. All rods, reels, tackle, bait and groundbait are provided. You do not need your own equipment, and you do not need previous experience with feeder fishing. Our instructors will guide you step by step, with small group coaching and plenty of practical support. This course is ideal for anglers who have completed Learn to Fish: Rods & Reels, or anyone who can already cast a rod and reel and wants to learn how to catch more confidently using feeder tactics.
