Learn to : Use Rods & Reels
Move on from the whip and learn to cast with confidence.
Course Description
This beginner-friendly lesson is designed for anyone who wants to move on from whip fishing and learn how to use a rod and reel properly. It’s the natural progression from a Try Fishing session and helps you build the confidence and practical skills needed to start fishing more independently. During the session, you’ll learn how to set up a rod and reel, cast safely and accurately, and use a simple float fishing rig. We’ll show you how to adjust your depth, spot bites, tie essential knots, and understand how your tackle works. You’ll also learn how to use a landing net correctly, handle fish safely, and take a quick photo before returning your catch carefully.
